A Seat at The Table

Happy 2022!! I am so excited for what this year has in store. I am a firm believer that this is the year of manifestation for those who pray, plan, and properly prepare. We’ve honestly been on such a wild ride over the course of the last two years, and it is appropriate to raise a toast to our ability to continue growing & thriving! This year, as you all know, I have set high goals for myself and will obtain each of them. I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t question whether there is space for me in such a saturated industry, but I have quickly learned that I deserve to be here.

Oftentimes, we are hesitant to go after what it is that we desire because we believe that the space is overpopulated. We might even look to those who inspire us and compare what we do to what/how they do it. For some, this form of comparison could be motivation but for others, this could further contribute to hesitation. I know you all have heard the famous reference to bread brands. If the master mind behind Nature’s Own decided not to move forward because of Wonder Bread’s continued success, a huge amount of bread consumers would be overlooked. The principle behind this is simple. Your consumers/audience NEED what you have to offer. Specifically.

I’ve learned that although the approach (way of dealing with a thing) may be the same, the aim (purpose or intent) is what makes the difference.

Ask yourself, what is my aim?

I wouldn’t label myself a “minister”, however, I believe that this blog serves as a “ministry”. I know that there is a message in each post that is designed to encourage and motivate those who are receptive, and it has been a true joy learning to STAND OUT. I was on to something as 2021 ended as I CHOSE to adopt a “go harder” mindset as it relates to achieving my goals. Everything that I made the decision to do for my goals was co-signed by Grant Cardone’s book, The 10X Rule. God’s timing is amazing because when the book recommendation came my way, it was a sure sign that I’d decided to take on the correct mindset. In short, The 10X Rule states that in order to obtain and MAINTAIN success, one must put forth 10x the effort. In doing this, one will not only surpass each goal regardless of adversity but will STAND OUT while doing so because of those efforts.

I said all of that to say that increasing your efforts will ENSURE that there is space for you! It is the one factor that will distinguish those that really want it from those who just want to talk about it.

Ask yourself, how much work are my goals worth?

The desire to achieve your goals should be seen as the prerequisite for the drive to attain them! We cannot get to where we want to be based on desire alone. As we continue to go after it all, remember that you deserve to be here! It is also important to remember what sets you apart & to lean on that when doubt or comparison try to pay you a visit. Stay motivated & continue to show up with whatever your 100% may look like. By doing so, you will gracefully demand “a seat at the table” despite how crowded things may seem.
